Extra Curricular Activities

We feel it is essential for all nursery children to experience as varied a curriculum as possible, so, in addition to their daily planned activities, we provide children with a range of extra activities as described below:

Rhythm Time

Each Tuesday morning "Rhythm time" visits the nursery to conduct a music session. The
children always thoroughly enjoy this music session as they are given the opportunity to
experiment with a wide variety of musical instruments and to learn lots of new songs and
rhymes.

Spanish
 
On a Wednesday morning our Pre-school children can participate in a Spanish session. All Spanish sessions are taught by a qualified language teacher. At this session the children are encouraged to learn new words, phrases and songs.

 
Nursery Outings
 
At The Wendy House Day Nursery we endeavour to take the children on nursery outings, most of which are related to the planning or topic at the particular time.

During all nursery outings we maintain an adult to child ratio of 1:2. We also complete
full risk assessments prior to any visits.


All extra curricular activity classes are subject to a required number of children
attending.
