About Us
The Wendy House Day Nursery is privately owed by Victoria Vann who has over 12 years of practical child care experience and numerous qualifications including NNEB, HND, Management Level 5, Level three in Delivering Adult Learning and an A1 Assessors Award. At present, Victoria is working towards achieving her Early Years profession status. Victoria works on a full time basis at the nursery and is pro-active in making conscious improvements to the child care facility.
The Wendy House Day Nursery employs 21 staff with a range of qualifications from NVQ level 3 to BA hons in early childhood studies. Staff also hold relevant paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding certificates. The nursery encourages staff to continue their professional development and supports this however possible.
We actively encourage partnership with parents and each child is assigned their own Key Person. The children in our care will form friendships and relationships with other children and this is key to their social development. When children leave the security of the family home, they need to form new relationships with adults who will support them in the nursery.
We provide each child with a living diary that will provide you with a detailed record of their learning and development in accordance with the EYFS. This builds up a beautiful visual record of their time spent with us.
We also implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) throughout our setting and introduce this into every aspect of our day, and ensure that children’s individual needs are met and catered for and their interests are planned for.
We believe in an holistic approach towards learning and development.
