About Us
The Wendy House Day Nursery is privately owed by Victoria Vann who has over 12 years of practical child care experience and numerous qualifications including NNEB, HND, Management Level 5, Level three in Delivering Adult Learning and an A1 Assessors Award. At present, Victoria is working towards achieving her Early Years profession status. Victoria works on a full time basis at the nursery and is pro-active in making conscious improvements to the child care facility.
The Wendy House Day Nursery employ highly professional staff with a range of qualifications from NVQ level 3 to BA hons in early childhood studies. All staff also hold relevant paediatric first aid, food hygiene and safeguarding certificates. The nursery encourages staff to continue their professional development and supports this however possible.
We actively encourage a partnership with parents and each child within nursery is assigned their own Key Person. The children in our care will form friendships and relationships with other children and we actively encourage this as it is key to their ongoing social development. When children leave the security of their family home, they have to form new relationships with adults who will support them in the nursery environment.
At The Wendy House day Nursery we provide all children with a living diary that will provide you with a comprehensive record of their learning journey and development in accordance with the EYFS. Over time each child’s living diary builds up to be a beautiful visual record of their time spent with us.
We actively implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) throughout the nursery setting and we aim introduce this into every aspect of our day. We ensure that each child’s individual needs are met and catered for and that their interests are planned for in the greatest detail. We believe in a holistic approach towards learning and development.
